• Cutting Thickness Range

    • Thin to medium metal plates.

    • Typical cutting capacity: 1mm – 25mm (0.04” – 1”).

    • Can extend up to 38mm (1.5”) with higher amperage systems.

  • Cutting Current (Amperage)

    • Standard: 20A – 100A.

    • Heavy-duty: up to 200A for thicker metals.

  • Cutting Speed

    • High speed on thin sheets (5–10 times faster than oxy-fuel for ≤12mm steel).

    • Speed decreases as plate thickness increases.

  • Cutting Accuracy & Tolerance

    • Dimensional tolerance: approx. ±1.0 – 1.5 mm.

    • Edge squareness: 3°–5° bevel angle (not as precise as HD plasma).

  • Kerf Width (Cut Width)

    • Typically 1.5 mm – 3 mm, depending on torch size and material thickness.

  • Edge Quality

    • May produce slight dross on the bottom edge.

    • Edge smoothness less refined compared to high-definition plasma.

  • Gases Used

    • Compressed Air (most common).

    • Sometimes Nitrogen or Argon-Hydrogen for better quality cuts on stainless steel and aluminum.

  • Compatible Materials

    • Mild Steel

    • Stainless Steel

    • Aluminum

    • Copper & Brass (limited)

  • Applications

    • General fabrication & welding prep.

    • Construction, repair, and maintenance work.

    • Agricultural equipment and automotive parts cutting.
